Kurdish Construction workers tent set on fire by Turkish mob
Hundreds of people protested and burned down the tents of Kurdish construction workers in the province of Kutayha in Turkey on Tuesday night.
According to UPI local youth spread rumours regarding the construction workers raising a Kurdish flag, which led to hundreds of angry protesters. It is unclear whether a Kurdish flag was raised, and regardless of what flag was raised, racial attacks on Kurdish people seem to be on the rise, with little effort from the Turkish government to resolve Turkey’s Kurdish issue.
