Two Kurdish Civilians Killed by Armed Forces in Iran

At the 22:00 on December 15th, 2008, at the Panjavin border of Kurdistan province, the Revolutionary Guards shot two Kurdish civilians, who died instantaneously.

Based on eyewitness reports, last night around Deh Rurgan village close to the Kunevarch border of Kurdistan, the Revolutionary Guards forces at the border entered the Iraqi region of Kurdistan and stopped a van.

The eyewitnesses say that the armed forces escorted the van into the Iranian territories and opened fire, which resulted into the instantaneous death of its two passengers. One of the passengers is Iranian, from Marivan, and the other is from the Kursidh region of Iraq. Their families’ attempts to collect the bodies, which are still in the possession of the Revolutionary Guard forces, are continuing.
