← Making Turkey work with the Kurds: the Canadian example
Protesting a renewed crackdown on Kurds in southeastern Turkey, demonstrators rally outside an office of Turkeyâs main Kurdish party, the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party), in Istanbulâs TarlabaÅı neighborhood on May 16. In the past two months, police have detained more than 2500 Kurds, many for protesting a decision to suspend a number of BDP-supported candidates in the upcoming June elections.
