Kurdish Political Prisoner in Mehabad transferred to Solitary Confinement

Hadi Amini, a Kurdish political prisoner, has been transferred to the solitary section of Mahabad’s Department of Intelligence prison.

Hadi Amini was detained a year ago in Sardasht, and his wrists have been paralyzed as a result of being subjected to torture. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment after an illegal trial without an attorney. His crime was working with Kurdish political parties.

Amini had previously been on hunger strike for 40 days. No information is available about the reasons for his transfer to solitary confinement.
