Kurdish Media reports on recent statements from members of Iraqi Parliament:

London (KurdishMedia.com) 05 June 2008: As the result of the Turkish and Iranian bombardments for the last two years, 450 southern Kurdish families have been displaced, two MP’s of the Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Assembly stated in a press conference in Baghdad. It was reported via Sbeiy website* on Thursday.

Since last October, Iran and Turkey have extensively bombed border regions of southern Kurdistan under the pretext of pursuing the fighters of PKK and PJAK, stated Sirwan Kakay, a Kurdish MP in Baghdad.

The Kurdistan Regional Government has not taken any effective action to stop these atrocities; neither strongly condemned these two hostile states. Kurds are frustrated that neither Kurdistan government nor the Kurdistan bloc in Baghdad act to stop Turkey and Iran.
