Kurdish man shot eight times at nightclub for requesting a Kurdish song
A Kurdish man has been shot 8 times, and severely beaten after he requested a Kurdish song to be played at a nightclub in Turkey, Izmir. The man is identified as Gazi Akbayar, and originally from Tunceli.
According to CNN Turk, an investigation has been launched into this incident, and the attackers have been detained by police, but have yet to be identified. Recently, a Kurdish man was jailed for singing in Kurdish in Turkey. Earlier this year in July, a Kurdish singer called Aynur Dogan was booed off stage for singing in Kurdish while performing in Istanbul.

i think Kurdish people need more time to fix their rights . mother language and sing by it . it is nature of human-being. God give us . i don’t know they make it as a taboo .
Also two years ago one Turkish singer who was shot to dead by kurdish reason who was alevi and doesn’t know how to sing in kurdish.
